This is an adaptation of a famous novel which depicts a surrealistic mentality of contemporary Poles, the mentality that was influenced by communism. Poland is viewed through the eyes of an 18-year-old female writer. The character she has created from her imagination is a man without any past or future, a man who lives only within the present, ad defined by the writer. The only thing the man knows about himself is the fact that he was abbondant by his beloved, Magda. Not only is he searching for his love but also for his own identity...
