16-year-old Adam finds a hidden photography. In it, his pregnant mother is embracing a stranger. This arouses suspicions: is this his real father? Adam flees from home to find out. "The Photograph" is about a very peculiar moment in every teenager's life: a time of first love, friendships, alcohol, sexual awakening and the search for identity.
Maciej Adamek
Born in 1968. Director and scriptwriter. Recognized documentary director. Graduated from the Polish philology at University in Gdańsk and directing at the Łódź Film School. Author of seven awarded in Poland and abroad documentaries. Since 2001 Member of an European Film Academy. Laureate of Hartley-Merrill, Polish Edition 1st Prize for The Photograph script. The Photograph is his feature film debut.
