1944. Warsaw is in flames, destroyed by Nazis during the uprising. Marek, poet and dreamer, tries to make his way into the city centre, where his father stayed behind. Irena, a Volksdeutsch woman who collaborates with the Nazis, tries to find her son, who fought in the uprising as a boy scout.

 

Leszek Wosiewicz

Graduate of psychology at the Jagiellonian University and filmdirecting at the Łódź Film School. Screenwriter, filmand theatre director, producer, lecturer. Produced acclaimed features and documentaries, including The case of Herman The Stoker (Przypadek Hermana Palacza), Dekalog Polska ’93, Breaking the Silence (Przełamując ciszę); Love Under the Shadow of Big Brother (Miłość w cieniu Big Brothera) and multiple television series.
