Operational Programmes 2010

Anyone who creates film art or enables access to it may apply for funding for a film project or activity in this field. Help may be granted in the form of a donation, loan, or guarantee. The Institute grants funds on the basis of clear and not necessarily complicated rules. In 2010, funding support will be given in the frameworks of four Operational Programmes:

• Film Production
• Film Education and Promotion of Film Culture
• Development of Cinemas
• Promotion of Polish Film Abroad

Applications are accepted throughout the year and are considered in several sessions. In the framework of “Promotion of Polish Film Abroad”, applications are accepted and decided on continuously.

The applications are assessed by experts called upon each year by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. They are randomly chosen to each session (all session results may be found here). The final decision concerning funding is made by the General Director of the Polish Film Institute within 90 days from the session during which the application was accepted, or within 90 days of the date an application was submitted for the “Promotion of Polish Film Abroad” programme.
