Festival of the Polish Institute in Berlin

20.01.2010

The fifth edition of the filmPOLSKA festival will be held on 15-21 April 2010. Audiences in Berlin and Potsdam will have an opportunity to attend nearly 100 screenings in various venues in both towns.

The filmPOLSKA festival covers a broad spectrum of Polish film: the latest feature and documentary films, student films, a retrospective of films produced by Opus Film, and a series of films about "Solidarity" to commemorate its 30th anniversary. In addition to film screenings, there will also be workshops with prominent Polish cinematographers, as well as lectures and discussions about cinema with acclaimed guests.

The 5th filmPOLSKA festival will be divided into six sections: New Polish Cinema, Documentaries, Short Films and Student Films, Opus Film Retrospective, "Solidarity" in Film, and The Art of Cinematography.

The filmPOLSKA festival is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Further details about the event are available at www.filmpolska.de.
