Thanks to an agreement between the Marshal Office of the Małopolska Region and the City of Krakow, the Krakow Festival Office in 2010 established a new structure that was responsible for supporting film and television productions.

The main area of interest of the Krakow Film Commission is producer support during film productions. This takes the form of giving the maximum possible assistance when dealing with administration; this would include ensuring that all the required permits are obtained, and that the production has the full cooperation of the local authorities, as well as access to public locations within the entire region.

 

The Film Commission coordinates producers' contacts with administration, police, municipal police, firefighters, and the emergency services. As a result of the procedures worked out by the Krakow Festival Office, everything is accomplished as efficiently and promptly as possible. Moreover, Krakow and Małopolska are famous for their rich hotel facilities, and our close relationship with these establishments means that the film teams can take advantage of some very competitive prices.

 

The Krakow Film Commission also helps its partners at the earliest stages of production.
