The Film Fund

 

The Mazowsze Film Fund was etablished in 2010 for supporting production of films made in the region and films that can contribute to promoting the region.

Budget

The Mazowsze Film Fund has the annual budget of 1 million PLN (250,000 EUR). In March 2011 the money was divided for the first time between seven film projects: 5 documentaries, 1 feature and 1 animation.

 

Entry conditions

Projects are selected in competition. One of the key conditions for receiving funding is spending the total amount of the subsidy within the Mazowsze region. The Mazowsze Film Fund supports production of feature, documentary, and animated films that are related to the region of Mazowsze through subject matter or production location, or involve people and organizations from the region in the production process. Aplications must be submitted by businesses active in the field of film production. Funding is available for up to 50% of total production costs. Key assessment criteria for submitted projects include the artistic, humanist and ethical value of the project, experience of the producer and director, the financial conditions of the production, and contribution to strenghtening European cultural diversity.
